Helping our pet community

One of our biggest passions is helping our local shelters and rescues! Participating in animal shelter and animal rescue fundraising events to help provide the best care for pets while they await adoption feeds our soul. Therefore, knowing we were able to help connect loving pet parents with a rescue furbaby fills our hearts with love!

Animal rescue fundraising events – a great way to help

Last year, I attended a wonderful fundraising event for Companion Hearts Transport and Rescue.  Companion Hearts was founded in 2017. Their vision is to rescue dogs and cats from kill shelters and transport them to non-kill safe havens so they have a chance at a forever happy home!

The Companion Hearts Transport and Rescue

Their efforts with the help of pet lovers everywhere have been phenomenal. Check out the 2018 stats:

  • 773 dogs & cats transported to rescues
  • 21 dogs sponsored for pull fees from Licking
  • 63 dogs sponsored for hc/rabies from Perry
  • 127 cats medically sponsored for transport
  • 5 cats adopted to forever homes
  • They currently have 28 foster cats and 4 foster dogs in our program (many long term)
  • They spent $10,973.36 on vetting, medications, supplies (food, litter, vaccines, bedding, kitten milk, flea treatments, etc.) and boarding.

Community support

Our community loves their pets and came out in droves to support this animal rescue fundraising event held at the Buckeye Winery!

The winery donated $1.00 to Companion Hearts for each glass of wine purchased and the community donated over 75 awesome gifts for the Chinese auction!

The place erupted with fun, laughter, and support as the auction began! I even had a winning ticket and won this beautiful wreath!

I was thrilled to be invited to such a fun event for a great cause! American Paw Partners will definitely be part of next event! Hopefully we’ll be able to have them again sooner rather than later!
